Little TV Addict

Today is my day off!  But I have tons of chores to complete. I cleared up some empty boxes in the living room, clean up the flat, arranged for the renting agent guys to come check on my heater, mouldy ceiling, and my lightings.

Then I went to Plymouth to shop for some Chinese ingredients for hot pot on new year’s eve and look for Acid cigars for my uncle. I got a lift from a friend, so we went shopping then got lunch then left Plymouth at about 2pm. Boy, we were stuck in the traffic for more than an hour!! I only arrived home at 4.30pm.

Waited for Argos delivery, but my chairbed still didn’t turn up. Apparently due to the adverse weather conditions, they are very behind with delivery, so they can’t give me a date on my delivery. Well that was it, I rested, cooked dinner, relax for abit, and get ready for work again tomorrow.

Its Christmas month, and everyone needs money to shop for their love ones. So just like previous years, our company decided to pay us early again!! Woo hoo. We got paid 6 days earlier, how nice is that? I just have to make sure I don’t over spend now, because the next pay day would be longer by a week this time! How about you??

It was my day off today, got a lift from a friend, and went to Plymouth for shopping. It has been snowing everywhere in England, so the weather has been pretty crap, but today there were lots of sunshine! So lucky with my day off!

I went to Plymouth for shopping and at the same time look for 1st birthday invitations for my collegue, as her daughter will be turning 1 in January 2011! Woohoo, another party to attend! How was your day today?

When I arrive at work today, I was told I have to make up a blister pack, with more than 10 items on them, and then check it before it gets delivered at 2pm. There was a pile of prescriptions not labelled as well. And I haven’t got a dispenser.

Then the phone started ringing, and never ended.. Christmas is around the corner, everyone is panicking and trying to get all their tablets, but it is during this time where all the queries and problems crop up, one after another.

It is not helping when I am feeling really rough with the block nose, and sore throat and cough, and feeling cold! Ish, what a day! How was your day?

I am having a mixture of feelings to work in the huge store in town centre. I am rather pleased it is in town and not anywhere further away, so I can stay in bed for longer. I also just remembered around the corner of Union Street, next to blockbusters, there is a newly opened Chinese and Japanese restaurant too; I’v always wanted to try their Japanese food there, it will be a good chance tomorrow after work! Wee. At least something to look forward to.

Then I can also look for silver jewelry gifts for mom during my lunch break because the shops are right smack in town. So convenient eh? Working in this branch is great for shopping and eating! The only down side is, because the store is right in the middle of high street, it is really busy, and have a lot of addicts prescriptions to do.

The story line is getting more interesting now.. At first I thought it was a romantic series between Jojo(fala chen) and tai tee(stephen ma), but actually the main story line is not about them! Such a shock to find out Jessie’s ( Yoyo Mung) role today. Are you surprised that all along it is Jessie who is sending mysterious texts to Jojo??

I am still trying to figure if Jessie is good or bad.. What do you think?? The last scenes were pretty shocking as well!! Watch to find out who Jessie is keeping at home in the lock up!! I was right that Jojo is not a baddy afterall.. I personally like jojo very much in this series, isn’t she pretty??

I havn’t done any CPD for this year yet!! I have been so busy with work, and online work, just havn’t got time for more learning! Only until recently when I came across an article on Mesothelioma cancer, I realised I havn’t learn anything new recently, or at least put in effort to do any night time reading or attend any events held by the CPPE team. I think after new year, I have to spend some time reflect on my career, and plan what I need to achieve for the year ahead.

I havn’t played bowling in 2 years I think! After a night of bowling my wrist and fingers were hurting. We overestimated ourselves, 2 games is definately too tiring, especially when we havn’t played for a long time!

In the 1^st game, we were still enjoying and aiming to score. Then during 2^nd game, our hands were giving up on us already! Do you enjoy bowling?? During the bank holiday on 27^th Dec, I will be heading to Plymouth for 3 bowling games, hopefully I will be up for it then! I can’t wait!!

I have to say I havn’t had any Chinese take away in almost a year! Gosh. That is record breaking. The reason I don’t like them is because I hate the gravy and sauces of Chinese takeaways as they use a lot of corn flour and colouring. The gravy often looks so thick and bright in colour. However I broke my record for ordering Chinese last Friday.

If not because I have to spare some time to plan my holidays and look up on outer banks nc vacation rentals online, I would have preferred home cook food. But I guess occasional take aways would be alright, eh? Check out what I had.

Sweet and sour chicken in Cantonese style – this is actually not bad if you eat it right away, as it is still crispy.

Roast duck fried rice – this was bad, the duck was hard, and overcooked.

So Yesterday I had to go to Teignmouth to cover a sick pharmacist. At first I was so reluctant to travel all the way there, but then when I found out one of my university friend was working in same area, I got so excited. She lives in Exeter and I live in Torquay, but Teignmouth is like our midpoint.

So it was actually a blessing in disguise, to have to travel further away to cover a pharmacist sick day off. My friend and I met up for dinner after work, and had a good catch up! Even though the day was manic, but I had something to look forward to!
