Little TV Addict

Eversince I moved to Torquay, I havn’t met many Malaysians. Today I met the 3rd Malaysian when I went to China Garden for Chinese takeaway. The owner asked me where I am from, when I said Malaysia, she was excited and said ‘me too’!

It is always very nice to meet your people in England. Her whole family came over for 40 years already, and apparently she has been living all over England. According to the owner, it is very difficult to find a good job in England; the ones who are here mainly look for sales job.

This Chinese takeaway has been around for years, and is just situated in the next street to where I live, but I never knew the store existed nor knew there were Malaysians in there, how silly!

Grey’s Anatomy S7 will not be aired until January, x-factor season 7 finale just ended over the weekends, America’s next top model season 15 also ended 2 weeks ago, my favourite TVB No Regrets also ended, what should I watch now?? I am following the new TVB series, but they don’t look very interesting, I need something that can WOW me and make me addicted again.

I wonder when the American Idol will be starting, If not mistaken, last year it started in February. But this year, not having Simon as one of the judges would be so different, I don’t think it will be as interesting to watch as previous years anymore. Everyone wants feedback from Simon because he is not the typical nice judge, he speaks his mind, and tells the truth about what he thinks, and that makes the reality singing shows interesting! Who is the new judge replacing Simon? I still havn’t got a clue yet. Do you know?

After looking around for the right casters for the office chairs, I settled down at Brixham Deli for some nice soup – bacon and lentils. They had 2 soups, either butternut squash or bacon and lentils, of course I opt for the latter, as you know if there is any meat stuff, I’d definitely go for it. I am big time carnivor, so to speak.

I thought the soup only had bacon and lentils, I was surprised when there were a lot of other vegetables too – celery, carrots, tomatoes. It was rather strange actually; it tasted more like vegetables soup, with bacon. Anyway, it was not bad. I thought it was a bit diluted, I would prefer it creamier and thicker. Anyway, this shop has been decorated for Christmas already. So pretty right?

I just watched this new TVB series Links to temptation episode 1, and already loving it. Fala Chen is a pole dancer in this show, and Stephen Ma Chun Wai is playing the typical honest and good boy role, they both seem to have very opposite character, but I guess opposite attracts eh? In the 1^st episode they both met in Macau, when Stephen Ma and family went over for a holiday. Fala Chen looks really pretty in this show, do you like Fala?? What do you think of the first episode so far?

Yesterday night when I was looking for some information on rv repairs online, suddenly the lights went off. A week ago, the same thing happened, but it was due to a burnt fuse. I had to bear with no lightings for 2 days! I looked around outside the window, and it was pitch black as well, normally there are street lights, I know this may sound terrible, but I was relieved knowing it affected the entire block of flats and the surrounding area.

The same thing happened last year so one of my collegues gave me an emergency light/torch. I am really thankful for that, as it came in handy this year during the electricity cut. Do you have one of these little lights?

I recently visited Prezzo for my 2^nd time. The quality of the food did not fail me this time. The quality of the starters were maintained, just like the 1^st time we were there, the maincourses were way better than the ones we ordered the last time, especially the lobster and crab tortelli, that is a must try when you visit Prezzo.

The thing I like about this restaurant is they often do promotions i.e at the moment they are offering 2 for £10 any maincourse, which is a bargain, really. Each main normally cost around £10, so you actually save up a lot, if you go online print of the voucher and fill in the form. It is worth spending an extra 5 minutes to print off the voucher before you go.

So right, I have got all my shifts planned out nicely, and initially I have the Monday off, I was going to Plymouth to meet up with one of my juniors to help her with her university research on paternity testing, at the same time get some ingredients from the Chinese store for the new year’s eve dinner that I will be hosting. Then today my tutor/store manager told me I will be working in her store on coming Monday, 20^th. I was shocked, thought it was my day off, and nobody informed me about it.

Then I rang ‘the lady’ to query, she said you can’t say no because you are going to be off on Saturday, 25 December. But, that is xmas day! Come on. I told her, I am working on Sunday as well, she said that is not counted because Sundays are extra duties.

The thing that whines me up most is, few weeks ago, I asked for extra shifts and asked if I could work Monday 20^th, she said no, it your day off, there are no stores that need you to cover. So fine, I went away planned my day off for shopping, and also asked to work on Sunday! So what the hell is wrong with her now?!!

I have several comments from my friends recently. They said going out eating with me is really good, because I will not fail to order a table full of food each time. Another friend said she can’t stay at my place for a long time, as she will put on weight real fast, as I keep cooking and feeding her.

Then when I went to Dorset to visit a friend, She also said, she always end up spending lots of money if go out eating with me, and also had comments from her other friends that we eat a lot! Then my colleagues at work says that I eat so much, and always buy snacks and sweets to feed them, that I have a mission to make them increase weight whilst I remain slim. Lol!!

I am just being really random, but suddenly I thought of all the recent comments I had from people about eating out with me. Lol! Have you had comments like these from people too?

I’m so glad I worked 5 minutes away from where I live today. So I managed to sleep in for a bit longer. It is really helpful especially when I am not feeling very well. So I thought I will have an easy day at work, but no, I was wrong, today was actually very busy as well, the walk-ins were very consistent, and we had a huge pile of collections from the surgery as well. It was just non-stop of dispensing and checking until the very last minute. I feel absolutely knackered again today.

Thank god I didn’t have to cook today; I just reheated yesterday’s food, and then watched my TVB whilst having dinner. Did some online work, and then had a chat with a friend from North Carolina about the BCBSNC membership plans. I realised I get asked all sorts of questions from friends all over the world because they think pharmacist knows everything! It feels good though being useful to the people around me

I havn’t been following TVB very much lately eversince No regrets ended. I never really liked traditional series, but it is weird lately I am only interested in watching the traditional and complicated and very dramatic series. I wasn’t very interested with the 2 investigation series that is on now, one of them just finished on Friday night, I only watched the 1^st few and last few episodes. I havn’t seen Wong Yat Wah in TVB series for a long time, and his acting skills are still very good!   

I actually started watching the new tvb series links to temptation, I thought the 1st few episodes were quite good. I am liking Fala Chen!
