When I was looking for dead sea salt scrub, this question cropped up in my mind. ‘Who will be next year’s AI judge?’ Since the American Idol 2011 season has ended, there must be a lot of speculation on whether this year’s new judges did their jobs well, if not, whether they will be replaced, and who will it be?

What do you think? I think Steven Tyler is a great singer, but no doubt he sucked as an AI judge. He doesn’t provide advice to the contestants like Simon does. Everything he says are based on what other judges has commented, and it is too positive.

J.Lo on the other hand is slightly better than Steven, but still not up to standard at all. I feel that they did a good job at encouraging the contestants, but did not give them contructive critism and advice. The best is still Randy out of all 3. That is my oppinion anyway. What do you think ?

Are you shocked or what? Do you think he deserves it? Will he make it big?

Well, I have to admit he has got a very unique alto voice, and a country touch. But, I have never been a fan. All I can say is this year’s AI is a dissapointment, not as good as last  few years. I am not sure if it is the contestants themselves or the judges, I do think Simon could have brought a lot more to the show.

Did you see the results of american idol 2011 for the top 2 final contestants?

It was such a shocker!! My jaw almost dropped when they announced Scotty received the highest vote out of the 3 ( Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina and Scotty Mccreery) O.M.G. Were you shocked?

I think Haley was suprised when Lauren’s name was called. She was obviously stunned for the results too. I mean who would have thought she would be voted out? So to all the voters, please keep voting for the most talented one to win. Please vote for Lauren!!!

If Scotty wins american idol 2011, I really don’t know what to say!

I was shocked to see Sara Ramirez a.k.a Callie Torres, the orthopaedic surgeon from Grey’s Anatomy to be at the American Idol top 5 show!! She was sat just behind Randy, so you can get a glimpse of her when Randy speaks! How cool is that?

From her interviews, I know that she is a big fan of American Idol. But seeing her in the crowd on tv was amazing! She was actually cheering amongst the crowd just like a normal person. Hehe, well she is normal, but she is on Grey’s!!

While searching for cord cover online, I watched the american idol 2011 top 6 performed tonight. Have you watched?

Who would’ve thought my favourite performances for the top 6 would be James Durbin! Lol. He was never one of my favourites, never thought I’d like his singing. He normally screams his lungs out for most of his performances, but to my surprise, this time, he actually just focused on singing the song, without all the extra ’screamings’, which made him more likable.

He sang ‘Will you still love me tomorrow’ really well! I totally fell in loved with the way he sang it. Jennifer Lopez loved it too, you can tell!!

Ah, finally Stefano is out of the game, he should be out way earlier than this!! I still can’t forget the scene where Pia and Stefano were the bottom 2 few weeks back, and Pia’s name was called! I think Stefano was lucky with his looks, he does have a cute face, but that is all, I don’t think he can sing that well, at least no where close to Pia..

Well back to this week’s performance, I am still liking Lauren Alaina, however the judges were right that she has to up the game, to do something to ‘wow’ america, afterall this is American Idol. I think eventhough this year’s contestants are very talented, but they are not maximizing their potential to the fullest, especially Scotty! By the way, I hate him, hate the way he hold the microphone! Lol.

This year’s American Idol is nothing like past years at all, why I say that? Because it is so boring that I was surfing the net and multi-tasking. In fact, I was searching for rv insurance quote whilst watching the episode, can you believe it?!

I think they should do what David Cook did few years back - week after week, giving us his best performances – Hello, Billie Jean etc, and Adam Lambert too who gave the public a spine-shivering moment with the song – Mad World.

So this week, the results was a shocking one for both the contestants and the judges. Guess who has been voted out this week???

Casey Abrahams was not only in the bottom 3, but he also had the lowest number of votes! This great talent has a very unique style of his own, may not have many fans and supporters but the judges sure loved him very much, as they used up their one and only save card in this season to get him back in the running to become the next american idol.

So whether or not he stays in for longer, will depend on what he does on his next performance to win votes from the public. Lets wish him luck.

Who are you supporting in this season’s american idol???

I was surprised that Brett was voted out, I thought he was pretty strong, I guess he was not america’s cup of tea. Well, as long as Paul Mcdonald, Lauren Alaina and Pia Toscano goes into top 10 I will be quite satisfied. At the moment, Pia is still my favourite, followed by Lauren and Paul.

Paul’s voice is very unique, however, I am not very confident he will stay for long, because eventhough unique, he sounds really soft on stage. I don’t think I’d like to go for his concert. Pia and Lauren on the other hand have strong and powerful voices.

Another strong performance from Pia this week with Celine Dion’s All By Myself. Lauren’s performance was above average but not too impressive. Who do you support ??

I couldn’t wait for the full episode 14 to be released, so I watched individual performances on youtube!! Ha-ha.

I am loving the females more than the males!!! I think the girls are so talented. I have fallen in love with Pia Toscano with her performance singing ‘I’ll Stand By You’ , she surprised me with her vocals!!! I totally felt the song when she sang it. Guess what?? She got the first standing ovation from all 3 of the judges in this season!! Woohoo. Well done to Pia!

I also liked Lauren since her audition, when she connected with Stephen Tyler. For a 15 year old to sing so well, and performed so well under pressure, I am impressed. I also support Kendra Chantelle, and karen rodriguez.

Did you watched the american idol 2011 top 12 guys perform?? 

I have to say this year’s talent is extraordinary, both guys and girls are equally good, I think it is going to be a tough season for the competitors. But after watching a few of their performances, I do have a few in mind that I think will definately make it to top 10.

So which guy do I support?? Well, I think all of them has got their own unique talents, but I like paul mcdonald very much, I am a fan since I heard him sing BlackBird with Kendra in the group round. I like his stage charisma, his softness, but I ain’t sure if he is strong enough vocally to get through every week’s challenges. His looks reminds me of David Cook!!! Do you think so??

Anyway, I also like Scotty, he is the king for country music!! No one can beat him in that. But I am not a big fan though. I like Tim Halperin as well, but I think he has to do a lot to stay in the competition. Over all, I prefer the girls more.

Having said that, I think Brett Loewernstern, Clint Jun Gamboa, James Durbin and Jacob Lusk will definately go far, judging from this week’s performance.
