Little TV Addict

Episode 26 is R&B week, and Usher was invited to give advice to the american idol contestants, at the same time, he promoted his new album, for all those Usher fans out there, watch out for his latest album.

Siobhan sang through the fire, her singing was too pitchy, she went out of tune at least 2-3 times, Randy liked her outfit?! Eww, I thought it was awful. Too much screaming from her is annoying, feels like she wanted to be the next Adam Lambert.

Casey’s performance was so-so only, all the judges did not really liked it except for Simon, who thinks he was good.

How about Michael Lynch? I never really liked him, but today, he sang with his guitar, and his song choice made him more likable, I have to admit he is not bad this week.

I can feel Andrew Garcia coming back when he was singing, I think Usher might have inspired him somehow, and made him to stop thinking so much, but focus on delivering his best to the audience, Kara commented his performance was one great leap.

Didi sang what becomes of a broken heart, which I thought was horrendous, she was so dramatic. I think she will be eliminated this week. What do you think? She lost her way since she sang Terrified during the audition.

 

Lee was apparently the best of the night? Wao.. he is getting more confident each week, which is good, we need some good weeks. It has been quite boring and dissapointing for awhile already..Lets hope next week would improve.

How about the result night(Episode 27)? Boy I was so right, Didi is eliminated, it was quite sad though, but someone has to go right Hope she will be alright. It felt like she has gone through so much, she has had many emo moments during AI, especially when she talks about her late friend. Im actually very proud of her, that she did this for her friend, wherever the friend is, Im sure she will be very pleased to have a great friend like Didi. I wish her the best.

This season’s american idol is such a dissapointment. I don’t seem to be enjoying it as much as the previous seasons. Before this at least there were Lacey and Alex, my 2 favourites to look forward to, since they left, I feel really pointless to carry on watching.

Anyway I know that Crystal Bowersox is a strong contestant, as all the judges praises her consistently week after week, emphasizing that she is in a different league etc, but im not getting it. I know she is good, but there is something lacking in her, Im not sure what it is, but I aint a fan. I don’t see star quality in her, and she just seemed a little too old fashion with her dressing and style.

I used to support Didi but week after week she been picking wrong songs to sing, they are either weird tunes, or songs that doesn’t suit her voice, plus the song choices aren’t typical ones. I think it is very important if the singers pick the right song choice for themselves but it has got to be something the audience would enjoy and at least have heard it before, so they can connect with the singer, and compare and contrast their version to the original. Just like when Lacey did ‘The Story’, which I fell in love with, and I did actually prefered Lacey’s version to Brandi’s. What do you think of Didi’s ‘You’re no good’ performance this week? Does her singing and song choice appeal to you? I didnt like the song choice but the song is stuck in my head!! Argh!

Well, I’m still hanging on to AI because its a habbit, I have watched it since 1st season, I’d like to carry on until the very end. Haha, but at least Aaron Kelly is still in the game! He did pretty well this week considering he had an infection going on – laryngitis/tonsilitis. This boy is young but he is definately very smart in picking his songs, and he really managed to connect with audience everytime he comes on stage. This week he sang ‘I dont want to miss a thing’ by Aerosmith.

Anyway Paige Miles is finally eliminated. My prediction was right this time, I thought Tim, Paige and Andrew will definately be in the bottom 3. This week’s comments by the judges were really harsh, check the feedback for Tim, if I were him, I think I would have broken down on stage? No joke, they were so mean, especially Kara’s comment. I mean that is true, but that was way too much to handle in my oppinion. Hopefully Tim will not give up and try to give his best next week.

I actually teared when they announced it was her. I can’t believe she is eliminated so early, Lacey Brown is out of the competition now. I thought Paige Miles should be eliminated first. Sigh, and the judges did not want to save her as well, they could actually bring one person back to the competition at any time, but only can use it once. Oh well, I will always remember Lacey’s signature song – The story. She absolutely nailed that song, dont you think?

I will definately miss her voice, miss her sweet smile. Such a unique voice, she could have done it better if she had done songs like the story everyweek!! Oh well.. hope you enjoyed American idol  episode 23 though, are your favourites still in the competition?

This week’s theme is Rolling Stone week.

Tonight, Didi sang playing with fire. Randy said she is on fire tonight, one of the best performances of Didi’s. Yay even Simon agreed! Didi, you go girl! A Very solid performance, but there are room for improvements. We will see if I remember her at the end of the performance of the night.

Casey’s mom said that he couldn’t talk when he was younger, but slowly started humming tunes before he actually started talking, that was when his mom knew he will be singing. It’s amazing how some people are born talent, I have to say I’m liking him more and more each week. Kara’s Comment for his performance tonight was ‘ this is the best performance since we met’…

I’v learnt something new about Lacey today. Guess what? Lacey’s dad says that she doesn’t have a lot of experience singing outside of the church, she is like him, naturally shy >.<  Omg Lacey is shy?? Its amazing how Lacey can appear so confident on stage even though she is a shy person.  I always smile through her performances, there is something about her that touches my heart each time she sings, she did Ruby Tuesday tonight, the judges commented that she has to stop thinking so much the whole time, but let herself go and start doing something a little bit different.

Siobhan Magnus was a surprise tonight singing Paint it Black. The judges think she did really well, and she is the highlight of the night, very good interpretation of the song. However I was never a fan of her, tonight , i’m still not a fan, but I thought it was the stand out performance of the night. Kara said it reminded her of Adam Lambert? Oh yes,definately , especially the screaming part. Lol.. What do you think of her performance?

I love Aaron Kelly this week. Very nice, not a rock song, but it was the right choice for his voice, I thought his version was great. I Loved  it. My favourite of the night goesssss to Aaron Kelly!!!! Dont you think he is cute? He reminds me of Archuleta, but I like Aaron more

This episode reveals the final 12 of American Idol.

I’m so very upset. Alex Lambert is eliminated. What’s wrong with the voters? It is so obvious that Alex has got something to give to the show. He is such a talented guy, his voice is unique, he sang so well in his last 2 performances. I thought he was going to be top 3 at least, I was so confident with him. I am still hoping that the judges could bring back one person, god please, this is just so wrong, its making me want to quit watching AI! I don’t know what happened there. People please vote for those who can sing, for those who are talented and those you think will bring a lot of good music to us. Don’t repeat the same mistake as season 7. Omg, the result is unbelievable. I still can’t accept the fact that Alex is out?!

I only have one more guy out there who can do me proud. Casey James, you go man!

The female results were kind of expected, as long as Lacey and Didi are still in the show, that is fine. Omg omg omg. What a night. Im speechless now. *still hoping for miracles*

Highlights of the episode – Todrick, Katelyn Epperly, Alex Lambert, and Lilly Scott are out.

I was watching Casey James performance on ‘Heaven’ which was in last week’s episode that I missed, I thought wow, Casey is not the boring guy I thought he was anymore!! I actually watched him sing till the end! And look at kara’s emotions, she is totally focussed on him, face blushing, she seemed to really like Casey. Well it might be just part of the show, but who knows This week he sang one of my favourite songs ‘you’ll think of me’ by Keith Urban!! I’m slowly growing to like him more now.. who would have thought?

Aaron Kelly performance was ok, thought he was a little shaky at the beginning, but he gained confidence and did better from the middle part to the end. Having said that, I think I am losing it for him, he hasn’t got the ‘wow’ factor judging from his past few performances, im losing faith in him, im afraid.

Alex Lambert on the other hand is making me fall for him every week. Im in love with his voice, I can imagine myself buying his album and liking his music, im all in for Alex Lambert! However, this week’s performance was not as great as last weeks, still liking him though.

The rest of the guys performance was nothing special to me, I hope Alex Lambert, Casey James, and Aaron Kelly to make it to the top 12!! Hope they keep their consistency towards the very end of the show.

Top 8 girls of American Idol performs tonight in Episode 19. Some updates for you who enjoy AI like myself
17 year old Katie stevens sang Kelly clarkson’s breakaway, such a brave girl, singing a big song. Did she pull it off? Unfortunately no.Too big for her. For me, I did not feel anything about her singing.

Siobhan sang animal hit ‘house of the rising sun’ it was a surprise for her daddy, who was her inspiration. She managed to make me focus and listen to her sing, but there is something I don’t like about her. I think it is the way she speaks and the way she pronounces the words/lyrics, can’t really hear the words she was singing. All the judges gave positive feedback except for Simon who said it sounded a bit boring, and nothing special. I am on Simon’s’ side in this one! I’d rather listen to the original singer hehe.. so here it is, please enjoy.

Guess what? Lacey Brown rocked the show!! Loved her version of ‘the story’. I know Iv said this many times, but her voice is so unique, and I like her hair and style so much!! Definately a fan of hers!! The thing I enjoy most about AI is to like a song Im not farmiliar with after listening to the contestants performance, if I go away looking up for the song, it means they have done a great job!!! Lacey has definitely done it for me this week! So here you go, ‘the story’ by Brandi Carlile and of course Lacey’s version as well. Her best performance after many weeks!

Didi sang is back with her guitar doing her thing as in the audition. Her singing was good. Kara thinks it is one of the best performance in this season. Simon agreed with Kara and thought she did really well. Keep it up Didi!! She is back on the go. Im very pleased this week, because both my Idols Lacey and Didi are safe.

Crystal Bowersox once again topped the show, Simon said 1 billion % she will be in the top 12! I don’t know her song choice and her style is just not my cup of tea. I hope that this year all talented ones will stay and not eliminated early.

In conclusion top 3 best females in my opinion are Lacey brown, Didi benami and Crystal Bowersox!! I think paige miles will be eliminated. What do you guys think so far? Who is your favourite???

It is the top 12 girls turn to perform in this Episode 17. I think they did not do well at all this week, except for Crystal Bowersox, who received positive feedback from all the judges, the rest will have to work harder for the coming weeks.

Once again, Didi was a dissapointment. Lacey Brown took Kara’s advice on taking on a song like Kiss me, which would bring out her unique voice, having said that, it still hasn’t really worked for her, she has to work harder too.I think, the guys are definately better this week. Up till now, of all the AI seasons, this is one of the worst! I hope they really buck up and show some great stuff or else..ZZzzzzz…

Episode 18 – The result show

This episode reveals the next 2 guys and girls who will be leaving American idol.

The 2 guys that are eliminated are Jermaine Sellers and John Park.

And the 2 girls who will be leaving  are Michelle Delamore and Haeley Vaughn. Lacey was at bottom 2, I really hope she pulls herself together and prove to everyone that she can do it, she has got to do something to surprise everyone, she has sucha unique voice, she just gotta use it well, and pick a song that suits her voice! Really dont want to see her go early.

Episode 16 was a alright, 1 or 2 performed well, the rest were just so-so. Kara gave some negative comments to her favourite guy Casey James. Know what Simon said??? Did he not return your call’?? Lol that was hilarious man. Kara was serious about her comments, she said I’m still a fan, but tonight, 2steps back baby. Everyone Wooed her. Lol. Nice scene. Love kara, and love Simon, it’s so fun to watch Simon around, I don’t know if I’d still be AI fan next year when Simon leaves. Btw, do you know this is the last season Simon will be around for AI? Yup, I know, so sad right. They deciding on someone else big who can take the show. E.g. Joan Rivers. I don’t know if Id like that!!

Well, back to the show updates. Im a new fan of Alex Lambert this week, I thought his looks resembles Ashton Kutcher and Nicky Byrne from westlife lol,in fact his voice sounded like Nicky’s, but better vocals of course. I think he did well this week, the song choice was great – John Legend’s ‘Everybody Knows’. His vocal was good, he only has to work on his confidence and stage presence. Im definitely a fan! I think he promoted John Legend’s music, because I rarely listen to JL’s but I went to listen to JL’s other songs after Alex Lambert’s performance. I also rewinded several times to listen to AL singing!! I’m impressed!

I’m not impressed with Aaron Kelly’s my girl this week. I hope he can choose better song, and be able to show off some of his hidden skills within in the coming weeks. If he improves, he definitely has great chance for top 5 at least, because of his age and looks. He reminds me of David Archuleta.
Lee Dewyze was a pleasant surprise. I did not have a very strong impression of him, he was just another contestant for me. But tonight, I thought I have overlooked. I should give this guy another chance lols

Highlight for the episode – Alex Lambert is brilliant! Worth the watch!I’m a fan!

2 guys and 2 girls were eliminated in episode 15. The 2 girls are Janell Wheeler and Ashley Rodriguez , and the 2 boys are Joe Munoz and Tyler Grady. What do you think guys? Is this result what you expected? I kind of agree with the results, or I would say I dont care, as long as those I support are staying in the competition

But I can’t believe Didi was in the bottom 2 this week, thank god she is still in the competition. There is no point watching anymore if Didi is out of the show. I am such a big supporter of her, I think she is really likable, she will get many votes from america i think. The only thing she has to look out for is the right song choice!! I think after watching so many seasons of AI, picking the right song to sing is definitely one main factor that can change their destiny, besides having strong vocals.

 Anyway as for the guys, I agree with the results. I have no idea why Tyler wore a bath robe to sing!! That was a shock! It made him look stupid I have to say, not cool at all, And with his appearance and character, it is really difficult to win fans over, and his voice isn’t exceptionally good either, so i’m glad he is out. At the moment all the contestants that I support are still on the go!! John park, Aaron Kelly, Didi benami, and Lacey Brown!!

And for all Kris Allen’s fans out there, you can’t miss this episode!! Because Kris Allen sang in the show! You can also get a glimpse of kara’s husband in this episode hmm, he looked so much older than Kara though.
